Thank you for considering Collision Express to repair your vehicle.
Since vehicle owners do not regularly require our services, we have prepared this info page to explain the various policies and procedures we at Collision Express execute in making collision repairs. Our policy and standards are designed to provide prompt, competent, courteous and professional services to our customers. We make every effort to eliminate problems before, during and after repairs are made. We can handle everything from arranging a rental car to pick-up and delivery service. If you have any questions, or are uncertain of anything, please ask. We are dedicated to serving you at all times.
We have tremendous confidence in our technicians and our repair procedures. Therefore, we are able to provide our customers with a Lifetime Warranty on most collision repairs. We think that you will agree this warranty, combined with our helpful staff, will assist in taking the worry out of getting your vehicle repaired. Feel free to ask for a sample warranty.
The Damage Appraisal
Our appraisers regularly attend manufacturer-sponsored training to keep up with the latest repair techniques and materials available to restore your vehicle to pre-accident appearance and manufacturer’s safety standards. With this knowledge, we are able to prepare a thorough damage appraisal outlining all the operations required to perform a complete repair. Due to the construction of modern vehicles, some damage may not be detected until repairs have begun. In such cases, the hidden damage will be reported to the vehicle owner and the insurance company responsible for payment, if applicable. These repairs will not be performed until we receive the authorization to do so. Not all shops maintain the same high degree of repair standards and quality – resulting in a lower cost. The repair procedures these shops overlook may affect the resale value and safety of your vehicle.
The Repair Process
Our craftsmen attend the same training as our appraisers, so we not only prepare a complete damage appraisal, but we are able to offer you the highest degree of craftsmanship available in the collision repair industry. Today’s vehicles require specialized equipment and products, as well as skilled technicians. We have been recognized every year since 1990 by the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (ICAR) for our commitment to training by being awarded their Gold Class designation. We utilize unibody bench repair systems that enable our technicians to analyze and restore your vehicle to within 3 millimeters of factory dimensions. When the unibody structure is corrected to factory specifications, we can perform a computerized four (4) wheel adjustment to ensure proper suspension alignment on all four wheels. More vehicles are equipped with adjustable 4-wheel independent suspension each year, so we have the ability to perform a complete repair by discovering damage to a suspension system that was caused indirectly by the accident. Our refinishing department uses Dupont world class paint mixing systems. We use state of the art acrylic resin urethane primers, color coats and clear coats baked at high temperature in an environmentally controlled spray cabin. These features enable us to provide an exceptional color match while duplicating the factory finish. Click Here to view an interactive tour of our DuPont certified repair process.
We cannot guarantee a delivery date due to the complexity of collision repairs. We try very hard to coordinate schedules, order parts ahead of time, and make every effort to control the repair process. However, delays do occur. For example, parts deliveries may be delayed or incorrect, insurance adjusters might need several days to review hidden damage, or weather conditions could affect the proper curing of repair materials. Therefore, all stated delivery times are tentative. We certainly don’t want to make promises we can’t keep. We want to give you the highest quality repair available, so please be patient.
We require full payment before any car can be released from our shop. If your insurance company gives you a draft or check, it may require more than one signature (a lienholder for example). Be sure it is properly endorsed before you come to pick up your vehicle. For your convenience, we accept cash, bank checks, money orders, insurance checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and MAC for final payment. We regret that we can only accept personal checks and credit cards up to $500.
Upon beginning repairs, if additional damage and/or costs are incurred, our staff will contact your insurance company (if applicable) and you will also be notified as these items occur. As a courtesy, we will direct bill most insurance companies for these additional items or supplements. We ask you to cooperate by signing the appropriate releases that are required by various insurance companies. The billing of the insurance company does not lift the responsibility of payment from the customer. Please ask our staff if you have any questions regarding this policy.
